Combined Generations of the Holocaust is a Cincinnati, Ohio, organization founded as a Holocaust survivors support group that later developed into an organization for children of survivors as well. Known for several years as the Jewish Survivors of Nazism in Cincinnati, the organization focused on social, educational and fundraising events. Raising funds for Israel and Holocaust memorials are also important activities for the group. Inventory available.

Established in the 1930s to resist anti-Semitism, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) evolved after World War II into a community relations resource working with other local organizations to defend the rights of all minorities, promote peaceful race relations, and foster good relations between Jews and Christians. Records consist of administrative files, minutes, correspondence, subject files, committee and task-force materials, daybooks, records of programs and activities, and video and audio tapes. Subjects covered include anti-semitism, civil rights, human rights, discrimination and segregation in Cincinnati housing and employment, Jewish-Christian relations, Black-Jewish relations, Soviet Jewry, Refuseniks, Israel, and Holocaust rememberance. (MS-218) PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA. ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROTECTION OF JEWISH IMMIGRANTS.

Records include a constitution and by-laws (1884), charter (1927), minutes (1884-1918), annual reports (1908-1938), correspondence, statistics and legal and miscellaneous material (1908-1952). The Association was founded in 1884 by Louis Edward Levy to facilitate the lawful entry of Jewish immigrants into the United States, to provide food, clothing, shelter and other necessary aids to the immigrants and to serve as a resource center for immigrant and other relevant statistics. In 1920 the Association became affiliated with the national Hebrew Sheltering and Immigrant Aid Society. By 1934 the Association was providing aid for non-Jewish as well as Jewish immigrants.

The Mazirer and Vicinity Relief Committee and United Brahiner and Vicinity Relief Committee of Philadelphia were composed of Jews who immigrated to the United States from the vicinity of Mazir in White Russia. The collection includes correspondence, a minute book, executive committee minutes, bulletins, pamphlets, cash book, dues book, receipt book, newsclippings. Materials pertaining to the United Brahiner and Vicinity Relief Committee of Philadelphia are dated 1916-1929; materials pertaining to the Mazirer and Vicinity Relief Committee of Philadelphia are dated 1945-1952.
